In early 2025, and like most developers who just finished a course, I was stuck in Tutorial Hell. This was my first successful attempt at getting out of there.

I was using productivity tools for a few years at that point: Notion, Obsidian, Google Tasks/Calendar/Keep, and what have you.

And I really felt bothered that none of them gave me the control I wanted over my tasks. Either they were too simple and lacked features I wanted, or too complex and "developer-y" that I'd end up wasting more time managing them than doing the actual tasks (Looking at you, Notion).

Even more, none of them were open-source, which meant I couldn't really develop the features I needed (except for maybe Obsidian, which is not open-source but has a rich plugin ecosystem).

So, with my laptop in hand and with my (then, and maybe still) limited skillset, I decided to take matters into my own hands and build my own productivity suite.

While this tool is currently a basic but fully-functional drag-and-drop task manager, similar to Google Tasks, I believe that one day I will be able to turn it into a fully fledged open-source productivity suite, so wish me luck on that.
